The Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort receives effusive praise from the Association of Golf Writers following recent Turkish Airlines FAM Trip
Montgomerie Maxx Royal, Antalya, Turkey: During a recent visit with Turkish Airlines to the stunning Maxx Royal Belek Golf Resort, leading members of the Association of Golf Writers (AGW) fraternity were unanimous in their praise for both the Montgomerie designed layout and the world class resort as a whole.
Over 20 journalists, representing the UK & Ireland’s most read national newspapers, were invited to sample the superb hospitality that is on offer at Turkey’s finest resort, as it readies itself to welcome the best players the World at next month’s Turkish Airlines Open, where Ryder Cup star Victor Dubuisson will defend his title from November 13 – 16.
“We have been treated impeccably at The Maxx Royal this week. Everything from the hotel to the immaculately presented golf course is world class. Undoubtedly a destination befitting of hosting a premier European Tour event,” commented David Facey, The Sun Newspaper’s Chief Golf Correspondent.
The course has moved from strength to strength since first hosting the event in 2013, evolving into one of the finest tests of golf in the world. The Sunday Telegraph correspondent James Mossop, expressed his thoughts on the contstantly improving layout:

Whilst the championship course itself was the main draw for the journalists, the entire resort recieved the highest praise from all in attendance, for everything from the fantastic service to the superb 5-star plus all-inclusive amenetites on offer.
