Cape Kidnappers & Kauri Cliffs 2020 Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award

New Zealand’s The Farm at Cape Kidnappers and The Lodge at Kauri Cliffs (Robertson Lodges) have been awarded a 2020 Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Award for the Best Australia & New Zealand Resorts.

The Golf Digest Editors’ Choice Awards now enter their fifth year, and seek to identify for readers ‘The Best Things in Golf’, with an emphasis on lifestyle properties, products and services.

Both Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs are regularly listed among the Best Golf Courses in the World.

Cape Kidnappers is the product of legendary golf architect Tom Doak and is hailed as one of the great modern marvels of in golf. With cliff-edge fairways perched 140 metres above sea level and with a surface that remains firm and fast, this course offers holes unlike anything you find elsewhere in the world. While every hole has spectacular views of the bay, some play cautiously alongside deep ravines and others intimidate golfers with deep cliff top bunkers and sheer drops off the very edge of the earth.

At Kauri Cliffs fifteen holes have stunning views of the vast Pacific Ocean, while six are played alongside cliffs which plunge into the sea. The beautiful inland holes wind through marsh, forest and farmland in this truly special part of the world.

In October 2020 New Zealand will welcome direct air services from New York, as well recently introduced direct services from Houston & Chicago and existing direct services from Los Angeles, San Francisco and Vancouver. Cape Kidnappers and Kauri Cliffs plan to attend IAGTO’s North American Convention (NAC) in Reno Nevada in June, and the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) in Wales in October.
