The Premier Wilderness Resort Invites Guests to Relax, Reconnect & Be Inspired
Ridgedale, Mo. (May 19, 2020) – Big Cedar Lodge, a world-class wilderness resort and vacation destination, is reopening more of its 4,600 acres of wide open spaces in the Ozarks following the State of Missouri lifting stay-at-home orders on May 4th. The vision of noted conservationist and Bass Pro Shops Founder Johnny Morris, Big Cedar Lodge will fully open by May 22nd for guests looking for a nature-based escape where social distancing happens naturally. Home to secluded cabins and miles of wooded trails and paths on Table Rock Lake, Big Cedar is the ideal getaway for families seeking seclusion and relaxation in the great outdoors.
“Big Cedar Lodge has always been a special place for families to get back to nature and create lifelong memories, something we need that more than ever in times like these,” said Johnny Morris. “Some of my most cherished fishing and family traditions have taken place around Table Rock Lake. Whether you live nearby and need a quick escape or you are planning an extended trip, we’re excited to welcome everyone back for a safe, nature-oriented experience this summer.”
The award-winning resort is implementing a series of modifications and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy visit for all guests and team members. In addition to practicing social distancing at all times, Big Cedar is enhancing its cleaning procedures in all guest rooms and facilities, adding hand sanitizing stations throughout the resort, and providing masks and additional protective equipment to team members among other measures based on guidelines from local, state and national public health officials.
The Big Cedar Lodge destination remains rooted in Johnny Morris’ vision of honoring the heritage, people and landscape of the Ozarks and has grown to include: relaxing accommodations from rustic log cabins and lakeside cottages to grand lodges and the glamping-inspired Camp Long Creek; eight heartland-inspired dining venues; the 18,000-square-foot Cedar Creek Spa; two full-service marinas and five swimming pools; Top of the Rock Ozarks Heritage Preserve; five world-class golf courses; outdoor and lake-based activities from horseback riding to bass fishing; and much more. Guests can also take advantage of nearby not-for-profit conservation attractions including the 10,000-acre Dogwood Canyon Nature Park in nearby Lampe and, once it reopens, the nationally-recognized Wonders of Wildlife National Museum and Aquarium in Springfield.
