A new links course is set to be designed in Donegal over the coming year with Tom Doak as the designer!

Rosapenna Hotel & Golf Resort in Donegal has engaged renowned golf course architect Doak to design what will be a new course on their St Patrick’s Links site. Two golf course layouts existed there already – designed by Eddie Hackett and an assistant pro from Royal County Down named Joanne O’Haire – but these will now make way for a 18-hole course on the 370 acre site. Doak is understandably delighted to have his first full design project now well underway a the Donegal Resort, an offering that will further the attractiveness of this beautiful part of the world to even more golfing tourists and enthusiasts.

The delightful Rosapenna will soon boast 63 holes as part of the Resort, with the Old Tom Morris, Sandy Hills Links and the Coastguard Nine soon to be joined by the St Patrick’s Links. We wish all the Casey Family and all the team at Rosapenna the very best with the new course at St Patrick’s Links and we very much look forward to seeing the course first hand in the near future!!
