GolfSwitch Solutions, part of the OpenTee network has added Fota Island Resort in Cork, Ireland to its increasing portfolio of venues bookable via all its resellers and partners.

The multi course resort has seen its share of championship golf over the years. Only recently it was Mikko Ilonen who took the Irish Open title over the superbly presented Irish parkland venue. Previously, Colin Montgomerie and Soren Hansen have taken home the coveted Irish Open trophy while Sam Torrance captured the Irish Seniors Open title at Fota Island. The Irish Club Professional Championship, the Irish PGA Championship and the Irish Amateur Open have all been played on the completely upgraded to USGA standards resort which allows for year round play. The course is now live to be booked via their own website www.fotaisland.ie and through the various GolfSwitch resellers. Within a day of being live, Fota Island already received their first booking through KLM Air France Flying Blue Golf, Europe’s largest airline’s golf community.
